Octopus Rim Distribute by ragingpixels Octopus Rim Distribute by ragingpixels
You Can Download this from my website here:
anthonys-toolbox.org/Octopus_R…

I tried to make a10 spoke wheel, it was going good until I reached close to the end and realized I had forgotten a few things such as setting up the polys to make the lug holes so I had to use booleans which made tons of triangles. and also the rim itself isn't circular, and because of those flaws I am distributing this object freely.

By downloading this model you agree, but not limited to that
1. You will not sell this model in whole or part.
2. Take full credit for it, only your render and your materials and whatever mod you may make to it.
3. You will credit me atleast once.
4. You nor any third party will re-distribute this model.

Enjoy!
File types included are .dfx, .fbx, .obj, and .wrl., there is no 3ds because that would triangulate the mesh which will make it almost impossible to meshsmooth in most programs even with the most advanced untriangulate algorithm.

later guys.

And as always Modeled and Rendered in Cinema 4D core version, no Photoshop Post work except the Octopus lettering. Used my Glow style on this one too.

it is a winrar file, you have to use WinRAR to open up the file. there are four files in there, one of them may work with your 3d program.

Sure, I'm a little busy now, but I will sometime. Blender accepts most all of those file and I've loaded .obj's before.

if it was 3ds, it would be triangulated, that would mean that you wouldnt be able to meshsmooth, if you have atleast 3ds max 6 or higher, import the .fbx file, then add a meshsmooth modifier with an iteration of 2 and it should come out ok. im sure you know how to make the spokes black, but if not, just covert to polies, select all the polys that make up the spoke, then make a black material, blinn should be ok, and just apply to selection, basic stuff. anyway yeah, later.
