murcielago remake wip1 by ragingpixels murcielago remake wip1 by ragingpixels
i firgured since i made the tutorial, i might as well remake the car too, im taking my time with this one though, im not going to try to make it ultra accurate, but i do need to study up on some new things, sorry about the glow material, the intensity is a bit high, anyway i will try to make the headlights, and a knock off interior to study up on the subject. anyway yeah, later.

did a bright render so i could see the bumps and deformed areas easier. anyway thanks for dropping by.

it looks geat so far :) but what i would sugest is to stick with original model as close as posible :) its more harder to build standard, cos with tuning style you just can skip some small details witch would be great but are to small :D any way :) same with interior :) dont just try to build perfect one in first shot :) first do the ruff one for shape so you would see there is something inside :)

i know i know, but like i said to the guy way way above:
many many many people have done this car justice with a 100% accurate 3d remake already, its not worth it in my opinion to do the same, sure being like the next guy in line is the norm to get ahead or make more money, but to me, if you have fun doing it, keep it up, if you don't, then don't bother. accuracy is no fun to me, puts too much stress on my mind and i already have enough going on in my real life. anyway i'll try to do what i can, no promises, oh the interior will be a piece of shit though.

you dont have to show what the interior is like, just to see that something is there :) and accuracy you need just for your self not to be the next guy in line but as a chalange, like can i make car as it is without skiping or "impoving" i know that may guys have made Honda NSX but i dont care its my second car on 3Ds max and i juts wanted a challange :)

well.... when I make that car, I didn't manage to found any blueprint of it... so, I use murcielago blueprint, and modify with hell lot of reference. and worst nightmare is, the car is asymetrical... =,=
that's part that killing me....

can't you just make half the car and then use some sort of symmetry function to mirror?

i did that until to the point where I have to make it into one piece and make the left part different from the right part.

Well, with the sideskirt. I would try and model by hand, don't merge vertex on the edge.

i am, but it never comes out looking right, the part that sticks out, im trying to make it with only 5 polygons(quads), maybe it looks wrong because it still flat and i still havent added the thickness.

The thickness is probably the solution. ;)

so you ever going to get into 3d?

maybe. I'm really not into it right now. I did want to make a few custom maps for Halo 2 PC and I made a small on for Unreal Tournament III but it's just to time consuming. If I did 3D it would probably to learn 3D animation to import for video effects ect.

none theless it would add to your current belt of weapons....i gotta learn how to do interfaces like you, or concept interfaces.

thats true. You should learn interfaces. They are fun and most important usable on the internet ;). If you combined your 3D skills to make realistic themes you could make a lot of cool stuff. One of my buddies Tony Harris does that exactly by making his interfaces in C4D. You can find his stuff here if you didn't know already ~TonyHarris
